As a way to encourage reading and develop reading and reading comprehension skills among students, Luther participates in the Accelerated Reader program.

Students can choose from a variety of AR books. After reading they take a brief quiz on the computer to test their comprehension skills.

Progress and acheivement is rewarded with a point/prize system. The more books students read, the more prizes they are eligible for.
